Roof Repair in Casa Grande

We fix leaks, broken tile, lifted shingles and worn flashing on Casa Grande homes. You get a two-hour arrival window, a written estimate before we start, and a call from us if weather or parts change the plan.

When fixing beats replacing

Roofs around here usually wear out piece by piece. Some tiles crack, one flashing seam lets go, or the underlayment in a single valley gives out long before the rest. When the trouble is limited to one spot and everything else is solid, a repair tends to be the better choice.

The desert wears roofs down in its own ways. Summer heat bakes the felt under concrete tile. From July into September, monsoon winds drive rain sideways, so a weak spot that stayed dry all year can leave a ceiling stain by morning. On older homes, flat and foam roofs crack and hold water near the scuppers.

We'll be straight with you about whether a repair is worth it or the roof is close to done. If it's close to done, we'll explain what we saw and go over roof replacement. You make the call.

What our roof repair covers

Leak tracing
We follow the stain back to where water actually gets in. That's often a few feet uphill from the drip, at a flashing joint or a torn piece of underlayment.
Tile and shingle replacement
We pull broken concrete or clay tile and set matching pieces. On shingle roofs we replace lifted, cracked or missing shingles and reseal the courses around them.
Underlayment repair under tile
When the felt under a section of tile has gone brittle, we lift the tile, lay new underlayment and reset the tile. This is the most common fix on tile roofs that are 15 to 25 years old.
Flashing and wall joints
We reseal or replace flashing at stucco walls, chimneys, vents and skylights. These joints move with the heat and open up over time.
Flat roof and scupper work
We patch cracked coatings and blistered spots on flat and foam roofs, and clear or rebuild scuppers so water leaves the parapet instead of sitting on it.

When your roof is asking for a repair

  • A ceiling stain after the season's first storm

A brown ring overhead after a hard rain means water got in. Stains spread, and soaked drywall and insulation take a long time to dry.

  • Broken or shifted tiles

These are often visible from the yard. Satellite and solar installers walking the roof cause many of them.

  • Grit collecting in gutters

With shingles, granules piling up in gutters or at downspouts show that sun has worn spots on the roof.

  • Nests under the tile

Pigeons and sparrows build in eave gaps and beneath solar panels. The nests collect debris and keep water sitting on the underlayment.

  • Standing water on a flat roof

Puddles that linger a day or two after rain mean low spots or a blocked scupper. Our sun breaks coatings down quickly where water sits.

What sets the cost of a repair

We price a repair only after getting on the roof and finding what's causing it. Two leaks can look the same from inside and call for very different work. The written estimate breaks out the cost of each part.

Kind of roof

Tile takes more labor than shingle since each piece is lifted, stacked and reset by hand. On flat roofs it comes down to the existing coating system.

How widespread it is

Swapping a few cracked tiles is quick. Rotten decking or worn underlayment across an entire slope is more work.

Finding a match

Certain older tile styles aren't made anymore. Tracking down a match or near match can add time and money.

Steepness and reach

Steep pitches, two-story walls and solar panels we have to work around all mean more hours up top.

How a repair visit runs

  1. 1

You call, we set a window

We book a two-hour arrival window that fits your day. If we're running late, you hear from us before the window closes, not after.

  2. 2

    Look and estimate

We get on the roof, find the cause, and take photos. You get a written estimate that lists each item, and we tell you how long the work will take.

  3. 3

    Parts and date

Common shingles and tile we can often fix on the same visit or within days. Matching an older tile profile can take longer, and we give you a real date once the tile is ordered.

  4. 4

    Repair day

In summer we start early and wrap the roof work before the worst afternoon heat. If a monsoon cell is moving in, we call to reschedule rather than leave your roof open.

  5. 5

    Cleanup and wrap-up

We haul off broken tile and old felt, sweep for nails, and show you photos of the finished work.

Roof repair questions

How soon can you come out?

It depends on the season. Right after a big monsoon storm, calls stack up across Casa Grande, Maricopa and Coolidge, and we'll give you an honest date rather than a hopeful one. We book you into a set arrival window either way.

Can you fix just the one spot that's leaking?

Usually, yes. If the rest of the roof is in good shape, we fix the problem area and leave the rest alone. If we see wider wear, we'll show you the photos and explain what we found.

My tile looks fine. Why would the roof leak?

Concrete tile lasts a very long time, but the underlayment beneath it does the real waterproofing. In our heat, felt underlayment dries out and cracks well before the tile wears. That's why many tile roofs leak while looking perfect from the street.

What happens if it rains on repair day?

We don't open a roof with a storm on the way. If the forecast turns, we call you, set a new date, and if needed put a temporary cover over the problem spot until we're back.

Should I get a repair or a full inspection?

If you have one clear problem, start with a repair visit. If you're buying a home, the roof is getting older, or you just want to know where things stand, a roof inspection gives you the full picture.
